OVERVIEW
TME Consumer Division, noticing new consumer demands requiring an inexpensive armored personnel carrier that could reasonably survive engagement in the modern battlefield, tasked the Engineering Division with coming up with such a vehicle. The engineers came up with the TME-179 Marsupial.
CAPABILITIES
A cheap and effective conventionally-powered tracked vehicle, the TME-179 can carry a platoon of troopers in relative comfort and support them using its turret-mounted short-range missile six-rack and long-range missile five-rack. It has moderately better armor coverage than a "standard" armored personnel vehicle and equivalent speed.
DEPLOYMENT
The Marsupial can be found in the armies of those who rely heavily on APCs.
VARIANTS
There are no production variants as of yet, but one common end-user modification removes the long range missile launcher and its ammunition and replaces it with several point-defense machine guns and additional armor plate.
