OVERVIEW
The Shukodny was intended as an average main battle tank for wealthier nations.
CAPABILITIES
Armed well enough with a particle projector cannon and short-range missile six-rack to do enough damage at most engagement ranges, armored well enough with more than ten tons of sloped crystal-steel to protect itself from attack, and fast enough with its fusion engine to get wherever it needs to go, the Shukodny is a decent medium main battle tank. The prototype suffered from exaust gases from the missile rack leaking into the crew compartment, which was solved with a simple vent system. While this slightly decreases the Shukodny's survivability in turret hits from above, it is considered an acceptable risk compared to asphyxiating the crew.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-177 Shukodny is not all too common, as when it was state-of-the-art its fusion engines were often cannibalized for 'Mechs, and nowadays it is simply not powerful enough. Most Shukodny's have been relegated to second-line status.
